June 22nd 2007 Whoops department - the mail setup for feedback and email addressed to webmaster@overtonweather.com had an error. Mail has not been forwarded for the past month or so - apologies for that. It is now working again. Please resend any messages that you didn't receive a response to if they are still relevant.....

February 26th 2007 We have moved servers within our web host today, unfortunately the DNS change did not take on the first attempt which meant that the site was inaccessible for a few hours - apologies for that. If you are reading this now it means that the move has now been successful. Thank you for your patience.

November 24th Update The new rain gauge has been installed today just as it started raining so hopefully we will be able to see it working later today. I have manual records for the period whilst it was not working and will be updating the records in the next few weeks.

November 10th Update efforts to repair the rain gauge have been unsuccessful so a replacement is on order and should be installed shortly. The anemometer problem is intermittent but that will be tackled shortly.

October 31st 2006 Technical problems with the rain gauge and anemometer. It seems that water has got into the works of both these items and is stopping them working. I am investigating if it is repairable or if they need replacing. The anemometer is more of a challenge because of it's location so please bear with us.

NOTICE 24 July 2006 We experienced an increase in access to the site from two users in the last few days which used a whole months bandwidth allocation in five days! This was due to the refresh interval of the Current Weather page which was set to ten minutes and the users concerned had a browser continually open on the page for several days. We have changed the refresh interval to one hour and now removed the block on the the two users from parts of this site. You can still manually refresh your browser if you wish - the page shows when the data will next be updated.  The data from the site is also available from the Wunderground site. If you have any suggestions about how we might change the site so that the frequently consulted sections are more accessible we would be grateful - please email us weather@overtonweather.com
